#langchat Been lurking here for ages, but want to dive in. I'm Joel. About 6 yrs ago was hired to teach native speakers. I love my heritage kiddos. Also a strong believer in ungrading. No walk-up song, but just listened to Toby Johnson's Rumor of a Good Life. Pretty good track.

I love it when admin tells me that I need to do their job. That's my favorite. That acrid, smoky smell? Oh yeah, that's the sarcasm. And if you can't hear my eyes rolling, I'm not doing it loud enough.

Not sure what correct protocol would be, but a prof just posted on FB a request for interpreters from a NYC hospital. If you have the skillset and are able, you might want to reach out?
