Any gvt that disrespects its workers, esp teachers is doomed. The civil servants are the engine room of the gvt but in Zim, they are treated as nonentities. Gvt must pay workers well.

FYI, teachers work for 8hrs, 22 days a month = 176hrs. They are paid a basic salary of $160, and an in service allowance = $112, making it $272. That’s $1.60 per hour. From that, banks take approx $10, while the govt takes $31 via pension, PAYE +NSSA. Tinyareiwo varume!!!!!

This is tantamount to the colonial slavery where workers were treated as trash. In an 'independent' black-led country, teachers should be the highest paid. Trs deserve better salaries.

@ZimsecPR @taundoro There is a huge outcry by Gvt teachers who are being forced but not paid for marking and supervising these Private School projects. Such usury and abuse must stop. There is NOTHING FOR FREE. Teachers are encouraged not to partake in this nonsense.
