Freaky (2020) - 7.2 A fun, but flawed slasher that is guided by a genius Vince Vaughn performance. Freaky is a solid high school horror that is dragged down by a god awful ending. Everything but the final 2 minutes is worth a watch, but this ending deserves to be penalized.

Mank (2020) - 6.8 If you haven’t seen Citizen Kane don’t bother. Although it’s well made and has an Oscar performance from Gary Oldman, this feels like one big inside joke that we’re not in on. Only crazy cinephiles will be able to fully comprehend and get the most out of Mank.

Desperados (2020) - 6.0 While critics are calling Desperados a disgrace to comedy, I somewhat disagree. I found myself laughing way more than I expected during this and actually found it somewhat enjoyable. It’s not good, but it’s not as bad as critics say. Watch on @netflix

Relic (2020) - 8.8 This is the most confident horror movie since Hereditary. Relic will scare the shit out of you and it knows it. The film has virtually no jump scares and favors a slow burn build up that pays off in the end. This is horror made for true horror fans.

Extraction (2020) - 7.9 Extraction might just be the the new Taken. If you’re looking for something smart, skip it. If you’re looking to watch Chris Hemsworth kill 2,000 people, then look no further. This movie kinda kicks ass if you ignore the stupidity. Watch on @netflix

Project Power (2020) - 5.0 Another forgettable Netflix original. Project Power isn’t awful, but it’s predictable script and cringe worthy dialogue hold it back from reaching its full potential. JGL and Jamie Foxx do their best with little to work with. Watch on @netflix

Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) - 9.0 Just as fun as the first, Tom Holland delivers again in another hit for the rebooted franchise. While the action is great, the genius comes from Holland turning Spider-Man into a regular awkward teenager we can all relate to.

The Rental (2020) -5.9 Dave Franco directs his horror passion project, but his debut is far from successful. The Rental isn’t awful, but it’s confused and doesn’t know what it wants to be. The film can’t decide between a slasher, thriller, or murder mystery.
