@RCooley96 This sh!t is nuts. I’m convinced though that it’s the foreign language side of Netflix that is capitalizing on the crowd in & out of North America (just 1:3 of its base). Content quantity & not quite quality, along with foreign language is what drives this.

@RCooley96 They spend very little ok advertising and it was on apple only devices for a while (still don't have an android app I don't think. )

@RCooley96 Have been saying that AppleTV makes great content. Netflix does great marketing and distributing for subpar-but-big-hits-every-once-in-awhile content.

@RCooley96 They need to get rights where Netflix has canceled amazing shows on the first season, and then continue it on AppleTV. I would absolutely love that if they could!

@RCooley96 @AppleTV needs to do a better job of marketing their shows. Why is there limited marketing on tiktok, youtube, and other places? Their programming is incredibly intelligent and engaging compared to mostly garbage on Netflix. It's unfortunate.

@RCooley96 Absolutely not true (that every single show Apple puts out is fantastic). They are all technically great - look and sound fantastic - but the writing/plot is mostly boring and predictable. Fine if that's what you want, but some of us want constant surprise.
