With the hold the AFLP has over clubs and the league, I would not be shocked if a contracted player stands out of footy for a period.Not ideal, but somethings needs to change, more in the clubs favour. All clubs can do at present is to hold a disgruntled player to their contract.

Very sad to hear of the passing of my Bell Ramblers CC '83/84 Premiership team mate Rod Edwards. Rod was a very good allrounder who played his role, but more importantly was a cracking and happy bloke. Pictured 2nd right, in the the floppy hat, back row. RIP Rod.
