RPN 28x Calc @RPN28xCalc

Version 3.0.2 is now on the App Store. It features layout optimisations for selected iPhone models, making it possible to see an additional level.

The upcoming 3.0.2 update will fix the inaccuracies seen when restoring long floating point numbers after a restart. Hopefully this week.

Version 3 of RPN 28x Calc is now released. It adds support for: • Programming • Matrices • iPad multitasking: Split View & Slide Over • and… Have an iPhone? Make sure you download it there too!

Tip: If you like to send suggestions or kudos, you can select "Email Your Feedback" from the (i)nfo menu with the app.

Tip: When you tap the binary mode indicator in the top of the display, it will switch mode from HEX to DEC, then OCT, then BIN, then HEX…

Tip: You can tap the number format indicator in the top of the display to toggle the mode from (FIX, SCI or ENG) to STD, and back.

Tip: To toggle the second function mode, press the red SHIFT button, or (this is new) the twisted arrow indicator in the top of the display.

Tip: To toggle the lowercase letter mode, press the LC button, or (this is new) the LC indicator in the top of the display.

Tip: It is called RPN, i.e. reverse polish notation, because instead of "3+4", you type: 3 4 +, i.e. the operands first, then the operation.

Tip: To get the sigma character (∑) on an external keyboard, type "Option-W".

Tip: To get the right arrow character (→) on an external keyboard, type "Option-T" (as in "to").

Tip: To enter 'π' on an external keyboard, type "Option-P".

Tip: To use the "greater than or equal" command (≥) on an external keyboard, type "Option-." (Option-Period).

Tip: To use the "less than or equal" (≤) command on an external keyboard, type "Option-," (Option-Comma).

Tip: On an external keyboard, press Enter to execute the DUP command. An small overlay window will appear with the name of the command: DUP.

Tip: The MAXS command returns the maximum signed binary number that can be stored using the current binary word size.
