Most Govt employees are underworked and overpaid with zero accountability. The fact that a Govt job is almost like a free pension scheme from day one with and optional corruption bonus is why Indians waste several years of their life preparing for these exams.
All projects/yojanas get completed in double quick time and targets like ethanol blending get achieved 5 years in advance in India if there is money to be made by politicians in the process.
