When persuading a client, avoid speaking in technical jargon. They don’t care about the ‘how’ they care about the result. Be clear about what they’re getting, not the process behind it. But if you’re asked, then you know they actually understand what goes on, so you explain then
@Raynerdtech This is gold for new programmers... except I'll add this. When CSuites get mouthy start to up the tech jargon just to fuck with them. Don't get yourself fired...
@Raynerdtech Clients dont care about your tech talk they care about their bottom line lol
@Raynerdtech I don't try to persuade at all. There are so many customers out there, they best be happy I am willing to waste my time as I can replace them faster than they can replace me. None of these hacks actually know how to solve problems with code. I make a living fixing their shit.
@Raynerdtech Well, sometimes the jargon is necessary to prove your stuff, so you can just say it and go ahead to simplify.
@Raynerdtech I use the technical jargon mostly to convince them of the pricing. It's always work. Anything besides that is just simplified conversation.
