I'm told any NRL takeover is dependent on French clubs remaining in the British game. As it was put to me by someone in Australia: "No France = no Peter V'Landys". Catalans/Toulouse a central part of the NRL's plans. theguardian.com/sport/2025/apr…

This whole argument of “what do French clubs bring to the sport?” looks to me like owners who have run out of ideas to improve their clubs themselves and are now looking to shift blame elsewhere. If you’re relying on away fans to generate more income you’re doing something wrong.

Every @SuperLeague club should be doing this! Kids or even adults would collect there favourite players! Would also get away fans in the club shops when fans visit.

So let me get this right Catalan could be thrown out to be replaced by Bradford who coincidentally their ex chairman who only resigned recently and took over the running of RFL 🧐surely this can’t be right?…Rugby League led by donkeys . Please say this isn’t true .

It's absolutely nonsensical we're at a point where Catalans and Toulouse's futures are being debated. If not them, why not everyone else? The reasons to keep them outweigh any negatives: and there's lots of them - from money to fans to the player pool. loverugbyleague.com/post/7-reasons…
