While scientists weren't expecting this level of resistance for COVID19 vaccination & the virus is keep mutating, we were very much in need for a treatment. Thankfully, FDA authorized the first COVID19 treatment pill (Paxlovid) with 89% efficacy to reduce death & hospitalization.
