If firms really existed just to maximize returns, wouldn't they all liquidate and buy index funds whenever their margins drop below market returns? The fact that this never happens proves firms have real value beyond their stock price, so why do we pretend they don't?

I predict we won't get a hard take off. We will slowly improve until the next bottle neck is removed. I am not convinced that an even solving ARC-AGI will bring about a super intelligence. There are still too many unsolved problems. The capability gap from us is too large.

Things in the material world follow the same rules, and we learn those intuitively. When we search for something new, we lean on analogies to what we already know. Our intuition guides us thru the search space, because the unknown must still operate in this same universe/rules.

Measure twice, cut once. This is even more salient in Vibe Coding. You catch the error much later in the process, and have much more work to clean up. I think things like Kiro are interesting, planning is def more important in the AI age. The speed makes course-correcting hard.

Why is a blog post or piece of documentation that's been mostly generated called AI slop, when it's actually better than anything I could've written myself? If anything, my own writing is the "slop"? 🤔🤔🤔 Do people actually prefer my slop? Or is it still worth less than the ai?
