It was an honor to attend the Santa Rosa Rancheria Tachi Yokut Tribe’s Annual Pow Wow this weekend. This event brings native and non-native families together in celebration of the Tachi Yokut people’s history, and it was a privilege to experience this cultural tradition.

Today I joined the Community Action Partnership of Kern (CAPK) for the ribbon cutting of their new Central Kitchen. With the capacity to prep and deliver thousands of meals per year, this kitchen will be a lifeline for low-income families and Head Start participants across CA-22.
