2/3 of Texas is and has been impacted by a drought for the last year. Groundwater depletions along 1-35 are real. Fortune 500 companies in the lower Brazos basin have chose to expand in other states due to lack of firm water.Need to put 4 billion of surplus in water projects now!

As we get older we have more appreciation for things old versus new. The calm water of Christmas allows us to hug our family and friends before we turn into the open water of a new year. Merry Christmas and hope 2023 is a year of positive transformation for all of you. Carpe Diem

Amazing that in 2022 we all watch the grid performance like our gas gauge on our car when we are on empty and the next gas station is 20 miles away. We can do better than this Texas. Go back to a capacity market (AKA 1999 regulated market) and the issue will be resolved quickly.

Lot of Texas farmers, construction companies, hotel and restaurant owners could use more help. Vetting the labor force on the border and set up state guest worker program to get company to sponsor immigrants for tracking and keep them out of shadows. wsj.com/articles/state…

Seems like the years are passing by faster..We gather for Christmas and we slide into 2023. Depression and anxiety are heightened for friends and family lost or for life expectations not met. Be humble and kind to everyone around you..a warm smile and hug heals a lot of wounds.

International Boundary Water Commissioners discussing reductions of 70k acre feet of Colorado River water going to Mexico. Mexico is 800k acre feet behind in Rio Grande water deliveries in Texas. Close the dams at Mead and Powell will fix the problem of compliance to 1944 treaty.

Water will be the biggest challenge our state will face to sustain growth and a surging population. Today’s generation will inherit water scarcity and needs to be involved in water decisions today. Agree with the Comptroller we need to invest in water solutions NOW.

Worn out wastewater treatment facilities, Unprecedented groundwater depletions, Over Prescribed River Basins and a long standing drought. This will take longer to fix than the Grid. Need to start by infusing $4 billion of surplus to incentivize water infrastructure build out now.

As we get older invariably we experience more lost of friends and family. Lot of friends have lost parents this year. Only advice is to capture their smile, warmth, encouragement and grace in your mind. Let them live spiritually present in your life..they will always be there.
