The Utah State Hospital celebrated its 140th birthday today. Being with Superintendent Dallas Earnshaw, who lives in our House District 63, along with many other neighbors who work there as well, was a tremendous honor.

Thank you Mapleton for a great week celebrating the pioneers and forefathers who laid the foundation of our state and community. Neighborhood activities, parade, helicopter ping pong drop, concert, fireworks were fabulous. What a blessing to live here among so many great people.

For the past 3 years, I’ve served as Co-chair of Utah’s Commission on Housing Affordability (CHA). Due to additional assignments in the Legislature working with public ed, I’m rolling off of CHA. It is in great hands with Rep. Cal Roberts being the new House Co-chair.

Being with 2,000 teachers today was wonderful and very informative. “Show Up For Teachers” hosted by First Lady Abby Cox brought the state together to recognize the great things happening in education. To all teachers, thank you for your passion, commitment and inspiration.

I was honored to receive the 2025 Legislative Business Champion Award from the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce. Our local and statewide business community is foundational to our state. Building and preserving Utah’s business-friendly climate is a key priority for me.
