Made a lot more hard work of that than we should have. Watford looked half decent when driving forward. Limited them, and fair play to Meslier, had a decent game. Should have had decisions on corners. See them given all the time. Sometimes have to win ugly

Need a goal early in this half to kill this off. Not got into 2nd gear yet, not that we've had to, but they seem to have a way of bulldozing their way through, so a 3rd should finish them. Then we can really turn it on and score 10 😏😏

Didn't know how Rutter would get on in the PL but thinking about it, it's a lot less physical and a lot more tricky/technical than the Championship so it's perfect for him and his tricky feet. Nice to see him doing well, shame it's not for us

As routine a 2-0 win as we've had this season. Heart rate barely rose. Great team performance, and Tanaka/Rothwell midfield is brilliant. Sheff Utd is a proper team of ogres aren't they? That Souttar looks like hunchback of Notre Dame

"Mistakes happen. Get behind the keeper. Don't get on his back" - no. He gets paid a week more than a lot of people get paid a year, and he can't do the basics of goalkeeping properly. This isn't the 1st time he's made an error or been poor. It happens regularly. He's not good

I just hope that Meslier was asking Le Bris if he had any jobs going at the end. He's always been weak and everyone said he's still young. He's had plenty of time and he's not getting better. He's no better than Casilla

Meslier is shit. I've said it time and time again. I was in the home end and said to my Sunderland mate before the game that Meslier always concerns me. He's like De Gea - makes the odd world class save, but then plays like a donkey 80% of the time

23 man squad (including 2 keepers and whatever Meslier is) and with Gruev going off tonight, that means 13 fit outfield players and Bamford. Unless we have players coming back soon, or Gruev isn't as bad as feared, small squad is going to fuck the season before Christmas

I understand people saying that the subs were needed with 1 eye on Friday. But we had more chance of winning tonight that we do on Friday. Could have had 6 points from 9 in 6 days. Now likely to be 4 from 9 instead.
