A lot of guru figures are masters of inventing hugely complex and endlessly recursive analytical frameworks that are superficially impressive but fundamentally empty / trivial. Ken Wilber, Jordan Peterson, various sensemakers, and Deepak Chopra, seem to me to fit this model.
