Light clashes between SDF & SCG (Syrian Caretaker Government) forces have been taking place near Deir Hafer, Tishreen Dam & Deir ez-Zor in recent days, with tensions rising in Sheikh Maqsoud & Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods of Aleppo. Aleppo resident, Hamude, told RIC: “For 15 days, reconnaissance drones have been constantly overhead. We can hear and see them. The people of the neighborhoods consider this a threat.”

The SDF views the recent actions by SCG forces as a violation of the terms of the March 10 agreement. In a statement, the SDF said: “we have exercised restraint and sought to maintain calm despite these aggressions, out of our belief that Syria’s stability requires genuine partnership and shared responsibility from all parties. However, the continuation of these attacks threatens mutual trust when Syria most needs dialogue-while the Damascus Government bears full responsibility.”
