Hey @digitalfoundry. Related to your talk of Direct Storage. I always thought it would be nice if games or Windows had an option to use more system RAM and pre-load large chunks of the game. If I have over 32 GB of RAM, I'd rather it get used. Even if it was mostly a big cache.
I really don't understand the short sited business decision to lay off 1,000+ employees to temporarily make the quarter look good. Never mind all of the knowledge and support they provided. You can't easily get that back. Make one quarter great for multiple losses after.
Well, I guess I should just never buy @msiUSA again. After over 2 months for a repair & getting sent the wrong board (that cost half as much), the latest board (that I still expect was wrong since it's 2 lb lighter than what I sent them) was sent back to them at their request...
