@Rothmus Reminds me of these two.
There’s nothing wrong with what she did. It’s absolutely not her fault she was murdered. I’m not saying it was wise… but gambling on empathy and forgiveness leads to a better world when practiced at scale. Taking steps to mitigate violent risks while allowing room for healing, if possible, would have been a smarter approach.
@Rothmus Morbidly curious what those final thoughts are for these folks. Because there are a whole lot of these folks. "OMG, I can't believe I was so wrong?" Or did they kinda subconsciously know it all along and sorta just let go without a fight?
@Rothmus I fully believe she should have forgiven him. But her forgiveness does not rehabilitate him. Keep his a$$ in prison.
@Rothmus Forgiveness and kindness are not trust. Forgiveness and kindness are given while trust is earned.
@Rothmus I heard this young, and for some reason felt like a lightning strike of reason when I heard it; “You knew I was a snake when you picked me up.” If you’re unfamiliar with the quote, look it up. Fascinatingly accurate allegory.
@Rothmus That’s what she gets for trying to guilt trip him after his release
