Unlike other melanoma, Acral Lentiginous Melanoma (ALM) is usually located on the palms of hands & soles of feet. ALM is the only type of melanoma which arises equally across all skin types & is frequently observed in darker skin types. ALM can advance faster than other melanoma.

It’s set to reach 40ºC tomorrow & next week,ensure children are protected against UV radiation & extreme heat.A child’s delicate skin is HIGHLY susceptible to sun damage & can burn within MINUTES.Sunburn in childhood is STRONGLY linked to the development of melanoma in later life

Rates of melanoma are rising faster than any other cancer in Britain. Why is that? Is it because there is still a genuine lack of awareness regarding the dangers of UV radiation and how to enjoy the sun safely? There’s much work to be done, but WE ARE making a difference!
