We need to show up for Ironheart just like we did for Sinners; stream it on Disney+, post about the show on social media, leave positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Show Marvel Studios that black heroes are more than comedic relief or side characters, they deserve the spotlight.
If you don’t know much about Riri Williams but don’t feel like watching other projects to catch up, here’s a 10 minute video recapping all you need to know about our girl before watching the show: youtu.be/6TcJZjHG0Ns?si…
@SAMTH33STALLION we’re sat!
@SAMTH33STALLION Fuck this mindset, show up for good stuff. Not to say the show is gonna be bad but it’s probably gonna be middling cause this is the last of the shows where Marvel was making stupid decisions with tv shows.
@SAMTH33STALLION Im black and Im not watching. They killed off OG Tchalla. You dont kill off powerful characters just because the actor died. Tchalla had fans since the 60s
@SAMTH33STALLION @rondaracha I don’t like what they did with Slug might sit this one out. Nothing against LBGTQ people but I’m a comics guy I like my shit as written
@SAMTH33STALLION lol good luck with that, why didn’t yall show up for the same show they made a few years ago on the CW, it was called Robyn Hood.
@SAMTH33STALLION How about showing up for stuff because it’s GOOD, and not just because it has a black lead? You’re sending a message that you’ll accept any piece of shit thrown your way so long as the lead is black.
@SAMTH33STALLION except sinners was a good movie and this is a fucking dumpster fire
If you like Riri, please support the works (films, tv shows, comics, etc) she's featured in. However no one should feel pressured to show up just to support a character based on their demographics. I don't remember Blade being marketed on race, just on the power of Wesley Snipes and the idea of a badass vampire doing badass things.
@SAMTH33STALLION LOL Remember when you guys “showed up” for The Acolyte?
@SAMTH33STALLION Maybe if they chose black super hero’s that are good? They have plenty of them yet they choose the one with no real fanbase, a misty knight series would be more successful than this
@SAMTH33STALLION Her and Sam, among other heroes consistely get treated like this in comics. The fact it's happening in real life is crazy.
@SAMTH33STALLION This is equivalent to review bombing. If its good, be honest. If its not, be honest
@SAMTH33STALLION Just saw the first two episodes. It’s good
@SAMTH33STALLION So you’re advocating review bombing
@SAMTH33STALLION Forcing yourselves to watch something just because it is black is crazy
@SAMTH33STALLION Between the tr00n and the drag queen , why would I subject myself to such visual cancer?
@SAMTH33STALLION @terryhe85162215 Just because it has black ppl in it doesn't mean it's great. Sinners was this aint. Stop supporting bs
