In 2000, Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights X altered the “Kongfrontation” ride to accommodate a Nightmare Creatures II Scare Zone. The attraction advertised you helping to defeat Adam Crowley’s hideous lab experiment creatures as they prepare to take over the world.

The image of a wheelchair from psychological horror movie "Session 9" has long been thought by some fans to have inspired #SilentHill 3's wheelchair bathed in light in the Otherworld Hilltop Center. According to Masahiro Ito, however, this similarity is purely coincidental.

Unlike its two predecessors, #SilentHill 3 featured no CG cutscenes. The game was built to look as detailed and good as possible, so that it didn't need CG sequences to give its scenes life. This gave the game a more consistent look.

While not a failure, #SilentHill 2 was not the successful masterpiece it’s seen as today. Fans of SH1 expecting a direct sequel were disappointed, and didn't like the change in style. Though given a larger budget to work with, SH2 didn’t end up selling as well as SH1.

The U shape of the South Ashfield Heights apartment building in #SilentHill 4: The Room was inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s film Rear Window, in which tenants on one side could see into the windows of apartments on the opposite side.

If you think that you've heard the voice of Bates from #ClockTower II: The Struggle Within elsewhere, you are probably correct. Roger L. Jackson was the voice for the Cheshire Cat in American McGee's Alice, Ghostface from Scream, The Powerpuff Girls' Mojo Jojo, and many more.

#SilentHill's Midwich Elementary School and its street were named after the titular town of the novel The Midwich Cuckoos and the movie Village of the Damned which was based on it. Shattered Memories adds to this, naming the school founder John Wyndham after the book's author.

The first puzzle in #SilentHill 3 may be the most unforgiving one on Hard Mode. The player must have knowledge not given in-game of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, King Lear, Macbeth, Hamlet, and Othello. A poem riddle must be deciphered to determine the order of these books.

For whatever reason, Bradygames' official strategy guide for #HauntingGround states that Ending D can only be acquired on first playthroughs, and thus suggests making it your priority. This is untrue, as the ending can be triggered any number of games later. #Demento #デメント

If you decide to watch all the materials which influenced the creation of #SilentHill, then you must watch Kindergarten Cop. This movie was important in the making of Midwich Elementary School, as it wasn't easy back then to get reference of what an American school looked like.

The killable enemies in #SilentHill 1’s Midwich Elementary School were censored in JAP and PAL versions of the game for being too childlike. For those regions, instead of these enemies, the school would be populated by a clawed monster which is meant to appear later in the game.
