There's an ongoing attack targeting the Solana ecosystem right now. 7000+ wallets affected, and rising at 20/min. Because it's very early and the attack is ongoing, there's a lot of misinformation and speculation. So here are a few thoughts and clarifications.

There really needs to be a Dragons Den for crypto projects where they ask about the tokenomics, DAO structure, and general finance forecasting (predicted turnover, potential market cap, and the overall mechanics of the project). I would watch such a show!
Mt. Gox will return back a maximum of 141,686 BTC to creditors after its downfall 8 year ago. A payout date hasn't been mentioned. Impossible to tell if/when creditors will dump their BTC. The short term BTC-USD guessing game continues!

I became a DeFi founder in order to create a more transparent, autonomous, and safer financial system. Watching the implosion of UST, Celsius, 3AC, and (hopefully not) more, all of which are opaque and trust-based, reaffirms the need for *Decentralized Finance* more than ever.
Despite the overall market crashing, still bullish on ETH lognterm. In 2018, we didn't have DeFi, NFTs were virtually non-existant. The merge is just delayed, but will happen... one day!

The fiat & traditional financial system rely heavily on excel. I have yet to see a true comparison of the amount of energy USD uses versus BTC network. USD uses database + excel sheets, and transports cash+coins to physical locations. Fossil fuels counts as energy used!
PSA: If you care about a blockchain that runs off a PoW that is compatible with the current #Ethereum PoW chain, buckle the fuck up. Your block times might get extra wild depending on how you re-calc PoW diff All those miners gotta go somewhere and it won't all be resale of GPUs
