Following the successful migration exercise of student records this weekend from AIS to SITS, the University Leadership Team decided this morning that we go ahead with SITS as the main student information system. All implementation activities will go ahead as planned.

To answer a popular question: Not all student records will be transferred - some will remain in AIS (eg those of students who did re-sits over the summer) until results are through and the student's progression is confirmed by boards. They will then be moved into SITS.

The Big Move from our old system to our new SITS student information system is happening this weekend. Staff, students and applicants WON'T be able to access SITS (including SID) or AIS. We'll be freezing access from late Friday afternoon until the migration is complete.

As we prepare to migrate to the new student information system over August Bank Holiday, staff should keep an eye on our sharepoint pages for updates, news and guidance. Key info will be sent in bulletins but a copy of all messages will be published in our online SIS Library.
