Presentation day has arrived! Throughout the duration of the Institute, the Class worked in groups on projects that incorporated the lessons learned throughout the three-week program.
Tour 18/18 is complete and the end of the Institute is upon us. Today, the Class toured Subaru, which also served as our home base for week three of the program.
Today was the last day on the bus for the Class of 2025! Two eye-opening stops in another very busy day. First, the group went to The Bancroft School, then New Jersey American Water’s Water Treatment Facility in Delran.
We’re nearing the end of the Institute – it’s hard to believe! Today, the Class had two really amazing stops – first, at IPAK in Camden and WowTown, @fivebelow Corporate HQ.
Week three of the Institute is off to a great start! Today, the Class ventured outside of SJ and visited the @IUOE825 Training Center where they learned about a variety of careers their students could have in organized labor. What a day!
The Class of 2025 wrapped up Week Three of the Institute with an incredible tour of Jefferson Health’s Washington Township campus. Hard to believe the final week of the Institute is upon us….
What a day it was! Today, the Class traveled to PSEG Energy & Environmental Resource Center and heard from a panel from the region’s utility companies. Then, we boarded the bus and head to Hope Creek Generating Station!
Day 8 marks the mid-way point of the program - and what a day it was. First, the Class started with a stop at South Jersey Glass & Door Co. Afterward, the Class boarded the bus and headed to a company that has been with the Institute from the very start – Mannington Mills.
Our 7th day of the Institute brought us to two companies that have been involved with the program since its inception: Coperion/K-Tron and the Paulsboro Refinery. Another really informative day learning about a different businesses, and job opportunities in South Jersey!
What a way to start week 2! Today was our first day at the beautiful Rohrer College of Business and it did not disappoint. We also heard from Wilmington Trust’s Denise Monahan, who discussed the current state of the economy and what builds a leader in the classroom.

Day three of the Summer Institute brought our Class of 13 educators to Atlantic County! In the morning, the Institute was fortunate to visit the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center for a tour, then visited Resorts Casino for a panel discussion on the AC economy.
Day two was a great day spent fully at @Campbells! We started our day hearing from Campbell’s reps, visiting the test kitchen and the archives with archivist, Scott Hearn. After lunch, the Class heard from a panel of HR experts from Ravitz Family Markets, Samaritan and Lassonde!
The @SJSInstitute 2025 is off! As has been the case since 1992, David Kehler imparted his tremendous economic (and overall!) wisdom with the Class to kick-off the program. Afterward, the group boarded the bus and headed to their first tour of the Institute: @Radwell_Intl
