Some faculty used the pandemic shutdown as a chance to be wildly productive. Others were trying to support students and colleagues, often on top of disproportionate family responsibilities, which limited time for research/writing or led to burnout if they tried to do it all. 2/

Just a reminder that the majority of the money the state of Florida has to make and enforce these laws comes from tourism. What if "woke" people stopped vacationing in Florida? Would that weaken Florida's attacks on racial, gender, and sexual minorities?

today the CDC added increases in pediatric group A strep to the list of illnesses impacting our children. We're still dealing with the shortage of pediatric pain meds and amoxicillin. Where is the call for collective action? Where is public health? Where is political will?

If anyone is out there: What’s a good citation for using “male” “female” being terms for sex and “man” “woman” for gender identity? (side note: we now do this as a fill in the blank question, but are reporting on old data before we learned better)
