The reality is, both of the Human Development metrics (life expectancy and years of schooling) are largely Provincially controlled. Canada falling down this list reflects years of criminally underfunded healthcare & education by Conservative governments in AB, SK, and ON.

Every few months, some ER doctor goes viral for saying you need to take it very seriously when a male patient says his wife made him come in, and I'm infuriated that women are considered reliable ONLY when they're saying a man needs care, but not when she needs care herself. 🙃

#CovidIsNotOver This is my 15th semester teaching RN and NP students about Covid 19 pathophysiology. Not a lot has changed except for how much damage we now know the virus causes. It still baffles me that people don’t know it’s airborne, don’t know the risks. 1

No one doubts their disabilities more than the disabled person themselves. Trust me, we are far, far more likely to lie to ourselves as everything is fine, than we are too admit we’re not… so by the same we say we need help, we're way beyond the point of actually needing it.

Chronically ill people don’t want a diagnosis just because we’re looking for something to be wrong. We want a diagnosis so that we can validated, learn about our illness, figure out how to accommodate ourselves, and maybe find ways to manage it. It’s not a hard concept to grasp.

Okay lemme tell y'all I am worried about the increasing number of food recalls, especially of cheap or pre-prepared food. This is a disability issue. Too poor to throw out/buy better, too tired to do all the chopping, and too many dietary needs to eat safe.

I have just learned of another 9 family doctors leaving this province. They don’t want me to spill their names as they want to properly notify their patients. But the exodus continues, and grows quicker, despite what the lying politicians, and their army of trolls, say.
