We hosted our first Pre-K field trip this school year. Copeland kiddos were a great audience for some of our star animals.
We’re on—rain or shine! The Nature Trails training scheduled for Monday, November 14 is still a go. We might get a wee bit wet, but we’ll be under the pavilion. See you at the trails at 10:00 or 12:30.
We had some cute chicks hatch over the weekend and we're expecting several more in the next few days. Listen closely and you'll hear peeps from all across the district as our 1st graders watch their incubators closely. Happy Hallo-peep!
We’ve got eggs! Our first graders across the district will be hatching chick eggs in incubators starting on Monday. We can’t wait to see the cute chicks!
We're putting together a new exhibit and are in search of some cool crates or vintage hard-sided luggage. If you'd like to donate, we'd love to use your stuff! We promise none of our animals are moving away from home. 😉
Do we love our animals? Just look at Ray swaddling our Blue Tongue Skink. Bluey is more than a little spoiled.
We have some awesome volunteers at the SRC like our friend Don. He’s not afraid of getting a little dirty cleaning animal cages. We do have some less messy volunteer tasks if animal poop isn’t your thing. ;-)

Today we celebrate the birthday of our namesake Charlotte Davis Burns. She always loved to learn, was up for any adventure, and was a hero in Cy-Fair ISD. Happy birthday Charlotte!
