Our final afternoon has been spent at a Calvados Orchard! The students have learned about the distilling process and how the Calvados is made! Some lucky parents will have some to look forward to on pick up tomorrow night!

Last full day! The guys have made sourdough baguettes at Boulangerie Les Copains. We got to learn the bread making process and afterwards, enjoy our yummy makes!

Visit to the American Cemetery. A very eye opening experience showing the scale of death of American soldiers during the Battle of Normandy. This included 151 Jewish soldiers who are signified by a Star of David grave.

Afternoon at the British and Allied Forces war memorial. It was great for the students to see the personable aspect of WWII. The scale of names and ages of the 22,000 who died in the Battle of Normandy

Up next, 360 cinema at Arromanches! We are watching a film about the Battle of Normandy 1944. This will give the students an insight into the French involvement during WWII

We’re off for Normandy Day 1! First stop, the town of Bayeux to see the Bayeux Tapestry. Commissioned by Bishop Odo, William of Normandy’s half brother after the conquering of England.
