“Red House” is proof Jimi didn’t just play guitar—he spoke through it...
@SVG__Collection I like Hendrix‘s better known stuff, but I could listen to that type of blues all day long.
@SVG__Collection One of all time great blues songs - love it.
@SVG__Collection I’ve been one foot away from this guitar when it was in a road case display on the floor of Hard Rock Cafe nyc. It had plexi glass over it with a light on it. It was weird to see something this iconic just on the way to the bathroom like hey there’s Jimis SG what?!!!
@SVG__Collection Jimmy looked at his guitars like tools. They gave him a voice. One he used to sing, and bring joy, sorrow, and healing.
@SVG__Collection His version at Memorial Colosseum is phenomenal
@SVG__Collection Not the best version of this but seeing Jimi play is always amazing
@SVG__Collection @FScottFitzJesse I love Jimi so much
@SVG__Collection He carried it around 24/7, because he wanted it to be like whistling. Nobody with lips needs to know any music theory in order to to make a melody in their head audible to others, and that's what Jimi wanted the guitar to be like for him.
@SVG__Collection Every time I see this performance, I feel like he's frustrated with that SG. It's like he's fighting it a little bit. Or not connecting with it. Am I the only one who notices this?
@SVG__Collection Some people listen to Jimi. Only a few hear him.
@SVG__Collection Playing the SG upside down! Avoiding the dials up top with his arm and wrist and still killing it is incredible. Most guitarists don’t have to deal with that. I’m a lefty and I just buy lefty. 🤯
@SVG__Collection One of his best songs even if simpler than many others but it's blues at his finest
@SVG__Collection He feels it in the deepest part of his soul. And out it comes through the guitar. I'd love to hear what he would sound like know if he had lived.
@SVG__Collection A fucking alien. Even when I was 11 I knew he was not of our world!
@SVG__Collection Sweet rendition! Love matters!
@SVG__Collection I've listened to Jimi for many decades, and I am still mesmerized by his playing.
@SVG__Collection It's the first time I don't see him playing his Fender Stratocaster. I had seen him with an acoustic guitar, but not with that Gibson SG, like the one Angus Young plays.
@SVG__Collection Here's a question for your followers: whose a techically better and more revolutionary musician: Hendrix or Coltrane.
@SVG__Collection The David Gilmour opinion that humbuckers make you sound less like yourself is valid, I think, in this regard.
