Rest in peace, Sly…🖤 Today, the legendary Sly Stone from Sly and the Family Stone, has passed away at age 82… In honor of his legacy here’s an incredible clip of Sly and the Family Stone performing “Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)”
@SVG__Collection OH WOW! I know he had a lot of personal tribulations, but his music brought a lot of light to this world. REST IN POWER SLY!
@SVG__Collection My very first album in the 70s
@SVG__Collection Sly and the Family Stone had every single one of us dancing our asses off at Woodstock. RIP to one of the all-time greats. youtu.be/tQ0PSpHFV_s?si…
@SVG__Collection 🙏🌹A real pioneer in the introduction of funk to the rock scene. I've played in groups covering Thank You, Sing a Simple Song, Take You Higher, Everybody Is a Star, and Everyday People. I love his music.
@SVG__Collection Groundbreaker. Everybody Is A Star... Fly high amongst them all.

@SVG__Collection Damn my mom would play this song so much when I was a kid, my his soul be with god 💗🤞🏾
@SVG__Collection SaTFS Greatest Hits was one of the first albums I ever bought for myself. I bought it for “Family Affair”, but then fell in love with the whole thing. “Cindy and Jeri got a message they’re saying, all the squares go home!” I was square as an ice cube, but I didn’t go home.
@SVG__Collection The world just became a lot less funky.
@SVG__Collection Excellent acknowledgment of a masterful musician May God have mercy on his soul and may he at peace
@SVG__Collection Noooooooo. I have incredible memories of listening to him and bought his albums as a kid. Infectious joy. 🤩 Watch Sly Lives. Fantastic documentary. Rest In Peace. 😢🙏🏻💔

@SVG__Collection RIP Sly Stone. Your music lives on!
@SVG__Collection One of my favorite moments from his career was when he played at the Harlem Cultural Festival in 1969
@SVG__Collection "Thank you..." was his singnature song. Lookin' at the devil Grinnin' at his gun Fingers start shakin' I begin to run ... His musuc caputed the "zitgeist" of the early seventies as hippies, anti-war protests etc.confronted police. Rest in peace !
@SVG__Collection Loved his music. Payed money to see him twice, he and band never showed up. Anyhoo, .R.I.P. slippery Sly.
@SVG__Collection an ICON ! I really enjoyed his documentary movie
@SVG__Collection Saddened To Hear This 🕊️🙏🏻 Rest In Peace SS ✝️ I Saw Them In Manhattan @The Electric Circus Awesome Night ☮️
@SVG__Collection Sly's music was a HUGE part of the whole 70's vibe.
@SVG__Collection I watched the documentary about his life. I wasn't of the generation that was around when he was in his prime but he made some great music.
@SVG__Collection Man… rest in peace. They’re releasing a new album soon too
@SVG__Collection Man… rest in peace. They’re releasing a new album soon too
@SVG__Collection For us in the SF/Oakland Bay Area our 1st knowledge of Sly Stone was him being a DJ on KSOL. He was the hippest DJ in the Bay Area on the radio. Then he became a talented Legend with his music. Rest in Power Sly.
@SVG__Collection Pure funk. Ahead of his time. youtu.be/9G-2U-qPsZU?si…
@SVG__Collection Oh, man. Thank you for the groove, the funk, and the joy, Sly.
@SVG__Collection Goodbye Sly. You made funk a household word and created one of the most classic albums of the 1960's
