Every second of Heatwave's “Boogie Nights” is engineered for the dancefloor.
@SVG__Collection Lester Freamon on the backup vocals.
@SVG__Collection Rod Temperton NEVER made a bad bop! RIP to real one!
@SVG__Collection huge similarity with Off The Wall, right ?
@SVG__Collection Special shoutout to the legendary Rod Temperton for penning this disco classic, along with several of my all-time favorite Michael Jackson songs, especially “Baby Be Mine.” His genius may have been behind the scenes, but his impact is undeniable.
@SVG__Collection Rod Temperton on keys. What a talent. Damn he wrote so many huge songs.
@SVG__Collection That skinny keyboard player wrote some of the most popular dance hits of all time, including this one.
@SVG__Collection I prefer Groove Line, but they're both banging tracks. Funky bass is best bass.
@SVG__Collection I grew up in the 70s and I unabashedly love disco. This is one of the top 10 classics from that era. When Spike Lee used "Boogie Nights" for the opening scene of "Summer of Sam" (his homage to 70s NYC) , it immediately set the scene and the authentic vibe perfectly.
@SVG__Collection Rod Temperton a phenomenal artist
@SVG__Collection the essence of Funk! What a GREAT song!
@SVG__Collection Not leaving the greatest intro of all time is blasphemous
@SVG__Collection @801bikichan To go from this groove to the slow jam of Always and Forever. Blows my mind knowing it's the same band. 🩵🩵🩵 youtu.be/9tXVK7fh-kI?si…
@SVG__Collection black, puerto rican, pacific islander with a touch of english soul 🥰👌🏽
@SVG__Collection This song is kinda similar to Michael Jackson’s ‘Off The Wll.’ I guess it’s the Rod Temperton factor.
@SVG__Collection That white man on the keyboard wrote some of pop/RnBs biggest hits. Thriller , Rock with you, Lady in my life, Off the Wall, Boogie Nights, Grooveline, Always and Forever, Give Me The Night, Baby Come To Me… he was a master songwriter. Thank you Rod Temperton
@SVG__Collection One of the greatest disco tracks ever. Made even more hilarious by the drummer in the band having serious “Working Men’s Club” vibes about him.
@SVG__Collection Wow. This brings back the best memories from my dancing days at the disco 🪩🤩🔥 💃
@SVG__Collection Oh my God, I remember that song. I can't believe that was 49 years ago.
@SVG__Collection Fascinating post and comments I’ve come back to see if it really is the same bass line as 0ff the Wall It is Genius
@SVG__Collection Dance with the boogie get down 🎶 cuz boogie nights are always the best of time 🎵 keep on dancing 💃🏿 keep on dancing 🕺 🎶
@SVG__Collection My favorite was “Ain’t No Half Stepping”.
@SVG__Collection Rod Temperton on Keyboard. Everybody wanted him and his Music on their Team at that time. Heatwave were an exceptional Band with some Banging Tunes that still hold up today and will Fill a Floor anytime and anywhere!
@SVG__Collection With the great Rod Temperton on keyboards.
