Some songs are just perfect—‘Walk On By’ by Dionne Warwick is one of them, and once you hear it, it stays with you all day.
@SVG__Collection Dionne Warwick must surely be one of the most accomplished and stylish recording artists of all time. Just pure class. ♥️
@SVG__Collection The magic of Hal David and Burt Bacharach combined to make this classic and many others for Dionne Warwick!
@SVG__Collection Dionne has kind of fallen into the shadow these days. I hope that changes soon because she's unique. This is a haunting tune: youtube.com/watch?v=R2ILm3…
@SVG__Collection Really a heartbreaking song when you listen to the lyrics. Still a great song, great singer.
@SVG__Collection OMG, that bridge between the 2nd & 3rd choruses is just one of the greatest music moments of all-time. Dionne is criminally underrated, now.
@SVG__Collection Somehow, I have the feeling that the 60s and 70s were the best time in human history where people still had values and appreciated values. And then slowly but steady everything went downhill especially with putting technology in front of everyone of us.
A Golden voice that wowed a generation and then subsequent generations. She was a class woman who had great genes - Smile. A rue part of American culture. I remember this song even though I was quite young. My Mom and Dad used to dance in our living room and I used to watch. My Mother who had a good voice used to ding the words. I was raised without a shred of racism - I was taught correctly and so raised my children the same way. Dionne came through that time and was one of the bridges between white and black as we all were learning that we were all Americans. Great post and thank you!

@SVG__Collection Smooth and sophisticated. That's Dionne Warwick. Love her.
@SVG__Collection The ultimate break up song. Spent many a night playing it over and over and crying. The 60s. The good old days.
@SVG__Collection Such a great song. Wonderful talent. I also LOVE “Heartbreaker”; I know it has a decidedly 80’s sound but, it still gotta great chorus and Dionne can sing the sh*t outta anything.
@SVG__Collection My Mom’s favorite so she will always be a favorite of mine! 🙌🏾
@SVG__Collection Madame Warwick is timeless
@SVG__Collection Dionne Warwick is perfect. Do You Know The Way to Santa Fe, comes to mind, but this song? No one could ever ever make it their own. It is hers. Again, Thank YOU!
