@SVG__Collection Probably his best ever. IMO he never regained these heights melodically or musically. He is a great artist responsible for introducing a wide range of styles and otherwise unknown artists. I just feel this is his most approachable work.
@SVG__Collection Not widely know is how Paul Simon treated the great band Los Lobos. In case you are wondering, Steve Berlin is telling the truth. ultimateclassicrock.com/los-lobos-stev…
@SVG__Collection One of the most unique rock/pop albums of all time. Top 10 record from the 80s.
@SVG__Collection One of my favorites! Saw him on this tour in 1987 with Ladysmith Black Mambazo and they performed the album in its entirety- phenomenal!
@SVG__Collection Introduced me to one of my favorite bass players, Bakithi Kumalo
@SVG__Collection It’s great, put I prefer it’s immediate predecessor, the terribly unrated Hearts and Bones (1983). While the former has more interesting instrumentation/ arrangements, the latter has stronger songs (sad and personal songs; he had just gotten divorced from Carrie Fisher).
@SVG__Collection Album about his divorce. It helped me through a lot of breakups hahha
@SVG__Collection And I believe These are the days of lasers in the jungle Lasers in the jungle somewhere Staccato signals of constant information A loose affiliation of millionaires And billionaires....
@SVG__Collection Wow ... had no idea as I was listening to it an hour ago!
@SVG__Collection we just didn't stop playing it
@SVG__Collection The live version in Zimbabwe with legends the likes of Joseph Shabalala and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Miriam Makeba, Ray Phiri, Hugh Masekela. A great body of work
@SVG__Collection And a top ten album of all time in my Book!
@SVG__Collection Beautiful work. Apex of western recording artists collaborating with African musicians IMO. Ladysmith Black Mambazo's contributions rounded & elevated an already exemplary recording. Inspired.
@SVG__Collection I saw him and his band on this tour. It was an amazing show.
