On a serious note; how does one infiltrate the Ivy world as a state school outsider? Looking at my career goals and would love to be at a powerhouse, academic institution in the future.
@HannaSorensen My advice: don't get hung up on academic brand names. As long as you're getting the resources and support you need where you are, you'll be successful. There is a lot of great research and clinical care going on at places that don't have the powerhouse academic brand.
@SVRaoMD @gbiondizoccai @HannaSorensen +100. Brand name is nice, but resources and high-quality mentorship are far more important to your long-term success.
@SVRaoMD @gbiondizoccai @HannaSorensen Similar for PhDs. Pick a great advisor/mentor and supportive department over project or academic brand name.
