Sometime around Memorial Day the US will pass 1 million dead from this pandemic. A book listing the names of those we’ve lost would need 6000 pages. We’re still losing 500 people per day. I don’t have an urgency to get back to normal. I have an urgency for the dying to stop.

As someone who has cared for too many kids (even prev healthy ones) w/really bad outcomes FROM #COVID19, if you comment on my posts w/ “but it’s just a cold” expect to be muted or blocked. It’s naive at best and downright dismissive of the children I care for.

Debated on whether I should post this... As an outpt physician, I've been adding many hours to my clinic days including weekends to reduce UC/ER burden on my colleagues. As a result my 7 and 5 YO kids have noted that I'm not home as much. 1/
