It’s like saying you oppose a thief while holding the ladder for him. The world claims to condemn the Taliban, yet props up their regime behind the curtains. Meanwhile, they mass arrest women, and ban their voices entirely. The Taliban feels no pressure.

@SaraWahedi Out of curiosity, which measures would you advocate for European & NA states to apply pressure on the Taliban? I ask because my understanding is that keeping FTO designations complicates the ability to provide humanitarian aid and I do not know what leverage the EU & the US have.

@SaraWahedi What is your solution? Taliban couldn't care less about sanctions and embargo. Chinese will buy their minerals with payment system out of swift (probably bitcoin). Do you want a new military intervention?
