Creation, as described in the first chapter of Genesis, was not perfect. The Fall was not far away from the start.
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." is a terrible translation of the first verse of the Bible.
Just like scientists have to be very critical towards their own observations, theologians should do the same towards their own thinking. For example, is the translation you're using an accurate reflection of the original text! #BeAccurate
