4/7 We saw more turtles per minute when surveying with the drone than with the boat and the drone had the advantage of not disturbing turtles and causing them to dive. We consider using the drone to be a much less invasive technique that gives a more accurate survey result.

#SeaTurtleTalks 'Eye in the sky: Using drones to spot and sex turtles' 1/7 Finding turtles at sea is hard but we need to count males and females to work out sex ratios. We compared surveys done by boat and by drone at Heron Island to see how sex ratios changed during the season
