Don’t really get where this whole ‘Tel has been shit’ narrative has come from. Joined under the most difficult of circumstances, only really played in the league (that we fielded a weakened team in every week and our own manager stated he didn’t priorities)…and he wasn’t that bad. Was he great, did he set the league alight? No. But he certainly wasn’t shit. Had good moments and bad moments And as for this season, it’s been four games and he hasn’t started a single one. He’s 20 years old. He needs trust, time and opportunities. He might not come good, he might explode, but patience is needed with him and he definitely has the talent.
@SebOnFootball He’s very talented but I also don’t think Spurs should have made the move permanent.
Fans need a scapegoat, kid is adapting to a new country/culture while coming into a team that was in turmoil during the January window. To me, he clearly has the talent and the right attitude to succeed. Us as fans need to support him, not every comes in and adapts instantly. Spence was no where near it a year ago, I remember when we signed Sissoko from Newcastle he was terrible his first season and became vital for us in his second year. Let’s get around the kid and help him grow into the player he should become. I have faith in him.
@SebOnFootball I think it came from the super cup tbh. That’s the problem with our fanbase, our expectations are too high which will eventually ruin a players confidence. When a player has a bad game, so many people in the fanbase completely right them off straight away, completely 1/?
@SebOnFootball @SebOnFootball please 🙏 tell me one good moment he has had under a spurs shirt ...
@SebOnFootball Does anyone remember Salah at 20? Lol
@SebOnFootball Does anyone remember a certain Gareth Bale that was utter crap in his first 18 games & was set to go out on loan, before everything clicked and he turned into a superstar? Give the kid a chance! Jesus!
@SebOnFootball Tell me you don’t understand football without telling me?! I’m actually embarrassed every time one of my fellow supporters tweets after he has been rightfully left out of our ucl squad! The manager sees him every day in training! You’ve hardly seen him play
@SebOnFootball Sometimes certain scenarios some players seem to lose, for whatever reason their form and may never regain it at spurs he may need a different environment and then maybe you’ll finally see the potential, but his performances hasn’t warranted him in the squad, simple it’s football
@SebOnFootball Would you have signed him after the loan spell he had with us?
@SebOnFootball 1000% agree, sadly our “twitter” fan base are so quick to judge
@SebOnFootball What talent does he have ? Pace, dribbling, crossing, passing, shooting ? What is he elite at that makes so many fans say he is talented.
@SebOnFootball I agree Seb. He'll be disappointed not to make the CL squad but I think he's got the character to get over that & improve.
@SebOnFootball he has been poor the bar for him to beat was shockingly low he didnt beat it ofc give him time to improve but the accounts telling us we've seen enough from him to be enthusiastic are being too clever by half
@SebOnFootball He also came and spoke to the fans and apologised for the poor performances when all the senior players ran down the tunnel
@SebOnFootball Part of the reason it was a weakened team was cos he was in it to be fair.
@SebOnFootball Nearly everyone on here is miserable mate gotta get used to it🤷🏻♂️ I rate tel highly and truly believe he’ll get where he needs to be in time
@SebOnFootball When will people stop making excuses for Tel. He’s not there yet. Time will tell if he will become a good player but at the moment he is nowhere near ready.
@SebOnFootball I’m in support of him, but the PSG sub appearance didn’t do himself any favours when it came to this decision. In pre season and off the bench he hasn’t done enough to make himself unstoppable from the CL squad, so he needs to be accountable. I hope he does kick on of course
@SebOnFootball Tel needs refinement, that comes with time alone, everything he does has the potential to be good, buts its all just a step too raw
@SebOnFootball This is literally Spence all over again🤦
@SebOnFootball He has also been asked to play in a position he isn't suited fo.
@SebOnFootball Completely agree and I’m seeing people talk about odobert in a similar way neither have had a proper chance
@SebOnFootball Really The bloke can't play football He won a competition somewhere Awful footballer
@SebOnFootball He literally has the ego of Garnacho and the skill of….Garnacho, often decides to take on 1v1s when he can’t and ends up jeopardizing an attack just because he feels like it. He can’t pass, he can’t take on his man, he doesn’t have great pace. Then what can he do ? He’s sub-par
@SebOnFootball Definitely not shit but was just an unnecessary signing when we already had two youth prospects on the left wing in Odobert and Moore.
@SebOnFootball Accounts such as yours are the reason.
@SebOnFootball He is shit and should not have been digned
