Development in young footballers is NOT linear 👍

@SebOnFootball Doesn't make too much sense as Salah was extremely talented sice he was at Basel, KDB the same. They always showed the qualities they just didn't have the platform and the exposure to show it. At 20 they were not established but they were clearly different from the rest.

@SebOnFootball Nothing wrong with Tel needing time. Thats not the issue. The issue is we have like 4-5 players in the squad that all need time and we don’t have the time to give them. We need players for now

@SebOnFootball It may not be linear but mediocrity shouldn’t be rewarded. Tel hasn’t been anywhere near good enough for us. It’s not surprising at all he’s been left out of the squad.

@SebOnFootball Agreed. Some players (like Salah & De Bryune) had to leave Chelsea and get regular game time in order to step up to start reaching their potential. However I can’t see where Tel will be able to do this in the current system barring injuries to Brennan and Odebert.
