Stop forcing yo children to eat food they don’t like. You too don’t eat food you don’t like. I will never forget the nights that I spent sitting at the table, crying, throwing up and being forced to eat food I didn’t like. It’s so common we joke about it, but it’s not okay.

Yeah this is ableism. So is saying "Well some homes should be, but not all". Anything that means disabled people have fewer options and therefore a lower likelihood to get a home, is ableist.

Anyone getting defensive about this is just waving a red flag. Children should be taught about consent regularly, and ideally from parents and at school. But the abusive parents won't, and many others miss key aspects like naming body parts correctly. Education is safeguarding

One of the hardest parts of being disabled is dealing with the ppl who are certain your illnesses are your fault. That you aren’t trying hard enough. That you failed. That if they become disabled they will “overcome.” Disability is NOT a moral failing. It happens to everyone.
