The Liberal budget is a financial disaster. Want to know how the PPC would manage things differently? 👇 peoplespartyofcanada.ca/public-finance
The #Liberals 💰 are spending Canadian taxpayers' money like drunken sailors 🍺, with no regard for tomorrow. If spending is not curbed, then #Canada 🇨🇦 may see a repeat of 1994 when it nearly went bankrupt under Jean Chrétien and his #Liberal government. Canada's near-economic abyss wasn't caused solely by him but by past governments since the 1970s. In the 1970s, the government was large, much like it is today, and it was Trudeau's father who was prime minister from 1968 to 1984. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree 🌳. Reportedly, there were only 30 minutes remaining in the bond market before closing, and there were no bids for Canadian bonds, which are used to fund the government. Luckily, bids came in for Canadian bonds. Canada's economic situation was so bad that The Wall Street Journal called Canada 'an honorary member of the third world.' It served as a wake-up call for the Liberal government at that time, leading to a reduction in the size of government, a slight increase in taxes, and the largest spending reduction since post-World War II, for which Jean Chrétien deserves recognition for saving Canada and its people. Thanks to Jean Chrétien's actions, Canada achieved a surplus in four years 📈. Because of Trudeau and his Liberal government, Canada may end up in a situation similar to that of 1994. Neither #Trudeau nor #PierrePoilievre will ever come close to being as fiscally responsible as Chrétien, though he didn't have much choice at the time. Nevertheless, his tough policies did save Canada 🇨🇦 #NovaScotia #VotePPC #TrudeauMustGo #ChrystiaFreelanad #Budget2024 Edited
