I just beat someone 400 points higher rated than I am in a classical chess game. The 2100 was NOT happy. My first ever otb game against someone rated above 1900 uscf and I managed to win!!!

I am currently 300 points above my 3+0 blitz rating and 200 points higher than my blitz peak. The Valorant aim training is paying off for very fast chess xD

It's quite astonishing how much impact your mental state has on ability in games. Tired? Stressed? Emotional? Your gameplay will reflect it to a huge degree, even if it doesn't feel like it should. Probably goes for any activity, I just notice it most clearly in ratings

Super happy with how my recent and first classical chess tournament went. I performed better than ever before with only 3 months of work after 3 years spent playing valorant. Thanks for all the help with improving @IglesiasYosha

Just played a tragic game. Absolutely crushing until I overlooked a simple tactic and lost. On the plus side, I have learned important things from every game that I've played so far. This game's lesson hurts a lot though

The emotional side of improving at chess or valorant is honestly the most difficult part. You need to care about each game to improve but caring makes every loss hurt. Loving winning and hating losing are equivalent. Handling the losses is the tough part. At least for me

i think it is really important we support the Game Changers initiative as much as we can if the only time you engage with the scene is to meme on it when things go bad, you're apart of the problem

Yeah GC Keep being transphobic towards someone who’s transgender. Idgaf if they’re cheating, Her gender has got nothing to do with it. Y’all are the type to date someone who’s trans and then misgender them after you break up because you’re “mad”. Anyone of any gender can cheat.

Reminder: let’s NOT use this situation as an opportunity to shit on trans and nb people interested in competing in GC. People abusing the system hurts trans and nb people more than anyone. Don’t use this an excuse or an opportunity to pile on those communities.
