Also give new, smaller writers a chance! I mostly read (when my brain isn't jumbled) based on recs I see on Twitter, discovering new fics and authors that way is so much fun! Branching out could lead to some fantastic new discoveries, and new friendships!! 💗💗

not saying this to dismiss those author's achievements who are thriving but to encourage those who might feel discouraged because of the lack of engagement because i truly think it doesn't always a mirror the talent, creativity, originality of the story bc people's taste differ

honestly there are so many amazing fics that deserve more love. kudos really don't say much. it's 50% skills, 50% luck sometimes. some fics blow up, they're shared by the right ppl, some aren't even given a chance. so to all the authors with little engagement, you're amazing! ✨
