Lee from the North West BSC team presented a 20 minute slot on smarter working hints and tips at the North West admin all staff event on Wednesday. Lee did a fantastic job and received positive feedback!
We hope you enjoyed the top tips this week. Please do engage with the Toolkit which is available on EQuiP and let us know your #SmarterProbation good practice.
People within the organisation should be agile week by week as required. It is important everyone stays connected with their team, this could be through working in the office, MS Team meetings, or buddying. #SmarterProbation
We are all responsible for handling information securely. Look at the people section of the Toolkit for advice on keeping information secure wherever you are working from. #SmarterProbation
With staff working from different locations, it is important to stay connected whether that is in person, MS teams, telephone or email. As part of your team charter, agree how you will communicate. #SmarterProbation
Estates within Probation is a mixture of offices, Unpaid Work units and Approved Premises. The Matrix room booking system should be used to book meeting rooms. #SmarterProbation
Offices are learning spaces; use break out space to share best practice and advise with colleagues. This is even more useful for our newer members of staff. #SmarterProbation
Probation staff work flexibly to deliver our service, which includes using a wide range of HMPPS locations. Remember the Matrix Room Booking System has meeting and 1-1s rooms listed for you to book when needed. #SmarterProbation
Technology training and advice is available from a variety of places including the MOJ Assistive Technology Team and MS Teams training. See the Toolkit for links. #SmarterProbation
Technology helps us to work smarter and there are lots of good practice across the service. Did you know you can scan documents with your iPhone? What is your favourite top tech tip? #SmarterProbation
Flexibility is key when ensuring we develop smarter ways of working to deliver an effective service to people on Probation. We know there are different ways of working across regions, teams & roles. It would be great to hear about your smarter ways of working? #SmarterProbation
Leaders will help to embed Smarter Working in their teams. A good way of doing this is to complete a team charter so the team can agree how they will work. For more details on this see the Leaders section of the Smarter Working Toolkit. (1/2) #SmarterProbation
