The SGRA will host a hustings for the upcoming GLA Assembly elections. It’s at St Barnabas Church, Lavenham Road, Southfields SW18 5EP on Tuesday 16th April at 7.45pm. All parties and 4 of the 5 candidates contesting the Merton + Wandsworth constituency will be there.

The new play area opened last Friday 23rd February after a month's building work by Hags UK. Full details will follow when we get them. Do get down to the foot of Pirbright Road with your family and enjoy the council's £143,000 investment in our Gardens.

Good news for wheelchair and buggy users and those with heavy cases or shopping. We've heard TfL is recruiting extra staff so lifts at Southfields and Wimbledon Park can stay operating when the single on-duty staff member takes a break. The new roster starts on Sunday March 10th.

News just in: Dear Southfields neighbours You are invited to an open weekend at Nuffield Health in King George’s Park, this weekend (27-28 January). You can go and use the gym and pool for free. Kids swimming is from 2-5pm. Have a lovely weekend.

"Walk Wandsworth" offers free weekly walks around the borough. Walks are led by trained walk leaders who can guide you in building up your physical activity at a pace that suits. They start on Monday 8th January and will meet at the Wandle Recreation Centre weekly at 9:15 am.

You'll be glad to read that our annual SGRA appeal produced nearly 400 pairs of socks which were passed to HMP Wandsworth. Thanks to all of you who contributed. It means every inmate will have a bit of cheer, a lovely and useful Christmas present for the festive season.

Mend, Fix and Repair Cafe is back! Bring your broken stuff to St Barnabas Church on Saturday from 12-3 to get repaired, plus get a free plant from the Green the Grid gang for your front garden. Don’t forget to give a donation, so all their great work can continue. See you there!
