No Word of the Week this week. I'm spending a few days Manchester and forgot to log into Substack on my laptop before I left. I'll get back to it next week.

Paid a visit to the Games Workshop in Manchester today. They have a display in there, Blood Angels & Friends vs Tyranids. The Deimos Rhino I picked up was a bonus. It was worth the visit just for that. I'd recommend visiting if you find yourself in town. #WarhammerCommunity

For me it's the Lone Wolf series of adventure gamebooks. Spent hours upon hours reading these as a child. They've influenced my own writing as well. I just love the idea of an unlikely hero, ill-prepared for the world, but now being expected to save it.

I look at your maps. If you put a map in your book I will look at it for a long time. Whether the map is necessary to understand the story is irrelevant. I will still look at it a lot.
