Did you ever notice Enoch was the 7th generation from Adam? 😲 He "walked with God; and he was not, for God took him" (Gen 5:24). He never experienced death, a clear foreshadow of the rapture. Mind-blowing!
@SpringSteps Wow! Very interesting! I never knew Enoch was the 7th generation from Adam.
Did you ever notice in the book of First Enoch, chapter 10, verse 12, it says that Judgment Day (the judgment of angels, in context) was going to happen in 70 generations from Enoch? Enoch -> Noah: 3 generations (Gen. 5:22-29). Noah -> Abraham: 10 generations (Gen. 11:10-26). Abraham -> Jesus: 56 generations (Luke 3:23-34). Jesus -> AD 70: 1 generation (Matt. 24:34). 3 + 10 + 56 + 1 = 70 generations The text: "And the Lord said unto Michael: 'Go, bind Semjâzâ [leader of the fallen angels] and his [fallen angelic] associates who have united themselves with women so as to have defiled themselves with them in all their uncleanness. And when their sons have slain one another, and they have seen the destruction of their beloved ones, bind them [the fallen angels] fast for seventy generations in the valleys of the earth, till the day of their judgement and of their consummation, till the judgement that is for ever and ever is consummated. In those days they shall be led off to the abyss of fire: and to the torment and the prison in which they shall be confined for ever." (1 Enoch, ch. 10, vss. 11-14)
@SpringSteps Also, he was taken right before God's judgement 'the flood' was poured out too .. he is definitely a type for the current church.
@SpringSteps That brother had the perfect testimony outside Yeshua Hamashiach. He is my role model. My testimony at the end of my race is going to be: "@NotVictorGodwin walked with G-d and he was not, because G-d took him"! 🤣
@SpringSteps I like the theory that Enoch is one of the two two witnesses of Revelation 11:3-12 the other being Elijah.
@SpringSteps Enoch's rapture has no description. Elijah, on the other hand, enjoyed the fiery chariot express, while Jesus slowly ascended. I look forward to any of the three.
@SpringSteps I have walked with God… A Story like Enoch He is coming back soon!
@SpringSteps Your creativity is always so entertaining.
@SpringSteps I truly doubt that 99.9999% of Christians meet the criteria that Enoch met . Probably 100% I mean otherwise they 'd already be gone.
@SpringSteps There was also Elijah who rode a chariot of fire instead of dying! I’ve already put my order in for one of those Ubers! 😂
@SpringSteps Or a foreshadow of Jesus Going to the Father..
@SpringSteps So those who please God will be taken! That is great news!
@SpringSteps And Jesus was 77th in the geneology recorded in Luke.
Ever notice that the day his son died, the flood began? 😊🤔. There's actually a reason why he was the longest lived human. Even a reason he had the name he had. The meaning of his very name (death shall bring) was a prophecy. I find it hard to believe, but I'm told by more enthusiastic bible nerds than myself that there is a reason for every single thing in the Bible. When I reading chapter after chapter of Lamenting, or genealogies, that claim challenges my faith. Enoch's firstborn lived longer than any human, but died before his father did. 😋👋
@SpringSteps 🧵I do not see it as having anything to do with the rapture since verse 13 of Hebrews 11 tells us that Enoch died along with everyone else in the chapter. But based on Jude 1:14-15 and the rest of scripture we see that what is implied is that Enoch was allowed to die a peaceful->
@SpringSteps Amen sis one of many rapture typologies
@SpringSteps 1 Enoch prophesized judgement of the chained angels in the earth would come in 70 generations. Jesus is in enoch's lineage and came 70 generations after enoch. Section 10. And relates to Jude 1:6.
@SpringSteps I think he will be one of the witnesses from Revelation 11. I think Elijah will be the other.
@SpringSteps Not the rapture. We believers will all be taken into the air with Him upon his return and every other person will be judged. All happening within the blink of an eye. No one "left behind". No time for being saved when this happens. Not the rapture.
@SpringSteps Yeah, one of my favourite examples that there are some G-d took up that way. Elijah went that way too.
@SpringSteps We do please God though our faith the same as Enoch does I concede
@SpringSteps Simply Amazing!!! Come Lord Jesus quickly #Maranatha 🙌
So Jesus was not the first to ascend to heaven? What about all the other belief systems that claim their significant figures ascended to heaven? Seems Jesus was just another in a long line of people ascending to heaven. Being a religious figure kind of requires ascension to heaven it seems. Or maybe it is all made up to attach special status to some people and attract followers.
