Calling it eisegesis to see types & foreshadows shows a misunderstanding of how Scripture interprets itself. If you do not recognize the pattern it means you need to study the Old Testament more closely. 🤷🏼♀️

@SpringSteps I wouldn’t give that arrogant troll an ounce of your time or energy Mandy
@SpringSteps These guys are so predictable in their responses.
@SpringSteps Robert has me blocked but if you wanted you could point out to him that 2 Peter absolutely uses OT types to prove the rescue of the church...I don't think he would accuse Peter of eisegesis. 😀
The same types of people told the Thessalonians these type of things ~2,000 years ago. I am comforted by the words of God that explain that we shouldn't listen to them: (2 Thessalonians 2:1-2) "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, {2} That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand."
It does not say where Enoch was taken, nor does it say he was given a resurrected body. In fact, Hebrews 11:39-40 explicitly states that he has not received a resurrected body yet. "And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised, since God had provided something better for us, 👉that apart from us they should not be made perfect👈." We will all receive a resurrected body at the same time.
@SpringSteps So, at best, your response is a straw man fallacy. You know well that no one is saying types and foreshadows aren’t in the Old Testament. The eisegesis I’m referring to is you injecting the idea of a dispy rapture into Genesis. You are reading your view into the text.
@SpringSteps If scripture interprets scripture----do you use Jas 2.24 to interpret Rom 3 or Romans 3 to interpret Jas 2.24?
@SpringSteps Dispensationalism, the Rapture, the seven year tribulation, etc, does not exist without eisegesis. It is at the heart of these doctrines. Calvinism, Full Preterism, and others are in that same boat as well as other flawed systems and doctrines.
@SpringSteps All of the types and shadows are fulfilled in Christ
@SpringSteps Some things take spiritual eyes to see. Everyone is at a different stage in their walk with Jesus.
